9 pound baby Gordon came to us early Tuesday afternoon and has been in the NICU with respiratory problems since then. It's a two steps forward, one step back progression but we are sure he is going to be just fine. This picture was taken during a brief couple hours that he wasn't on any oxygen - showing off a rare tube free face. Tonight I was able to hold him for the first time and I can't wait until that's the norm. He is so tender and calm. He tolerates all the interventions so well even though they must be so so uncomfortable for him. He is a champ already. I will post more as he progresses and we get to spend more time with him, getting to know our little guy :)

He is just the most precious thing!!! And 100 times better in person than even in pictures. Deep, deep love for this little fuzzy butterball, and I know I'm not yo mama, but mama in law and that's the blog name I made back in the day.
